Filming completed on our new Scottish walking route
On a rather dour but dry day in Oban we completed the filming of our big walking project for this year.
You'll have to wait until Christmas week when the two hour-long programmes are to be broadcast to get all the fine detail but for the moment I can say it's a wonderful route, and it's about 250 miles in length.
We started at the most southerly point in Scotland, near the Mull of Galloway, and followed coastlines, beaches, hill tracks and trails and visited five different islands en route to our finish point at Oban.
We've called it the Western Way.
The programmes have been made by Triple Echo Productiopns for BBC Scotland and I've posted a few photographs taken en route to give you a taste of the wonderful diversity of landscapes we visited.
